George A. Schabes, DDS, FACD
Meet Dr. Schabes
Dr. George A. Schabes is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds fellowships in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He has been actively involved in post-graduate resident education for his entire career and is currently Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Schabes received his undergraduate training at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, a tertiary care facility also in New Hyde Park. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists (FACD) and International College of Dentists.
Dr. Schabes is a clinical assistant professor in his specialty at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and New York Medical College and is an associate professor at the New York University College of Dentistry. He also holds the rank of senior attending at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital, part of the North Shore/LIJ Health System.
